I know I did a post about doors recently however a lovely reader (Suvi from Destination:everywhere) who liked my post Doors of Distraction suggested I take a look at the Thursday Doors feature; I couldn’t resist doing another post about about doors
I mentioned in my post that I love looking at old doors and windows when travelling (and in my home town)
I also love taking photos of doors in industrial surroundings or doors that are old and battered
I tend to turn these photos into minimal images for my other instagram account @inglewoodpalms. Take a look if you’re interested. I’ve been posting quite a few shots of the old doors around Perth lately
A lot of the time the doors I take photos of are pretty nondescript however I’ll like the way the angles of the door appear from certain positions and what’s around them (like the first photo with the Stormie Mill’s street art)
I think I also have a thing for corrugated iron as it appears in all these photos
Enjoy!
The Thursday Doors feature is hosted by Norm from the Norm 2.0 blog. Please take time to check out some of the other posts

Hi Jean, Thank you for your kind words. I noticed you grew up in Dublin. When I visited there a few years ago, one thing I loved was all the beautiful Georgian doors. Take care and happy door spotting.

My husband grew up in a Georgian house two miles from Dublin city center. I love those Georgian doors, too, Mary.

Hi Jesh, my original reply to you and Helen below seems to have disappeared. I think I said something like how I find banal objects like roll up doors quite beautiful in some instances. Thanks for stopping by
